M-CORE is simpler and faster for pros to install, and offers consumers added functionality with the style choices they desire to create their ideal shower system. Moen conducted extensive research to create M-CORE, and what drove the design was a passion to make the workday more streamlined for pro installers and to give consumers more freedom in terms of showering functionality and design in their new construction or remodel projects.

A Universal Valve Designed with the Installer in Mind:
M-CORE universal valve system is making the installation process significantly easier for pro installers by allowing them to quickly and efficiently install a valve that will allow for adaptable functionality once it has been plumbed.
“We’re committed to the trades, and M-CORE is another example of how we’re always striving to engage this group and support their work through innovative products that make their jobs easier,” said Burns. “We understand that valve installation is an extremely technical and tremendously complex job that requires a high level of plumbing skill. It can be tricky and time consuming, which is why we designed these valves to reduce time and labor costs, without sacrificing work quality.”
The M-CORE system also features an integrated mounting bracket that secures the valve directly to a brace, streamlining the installation process. It offers a quicker temperature limit stop adjustment process, and the integrated test plug allows installers to easily flush and test the system without having to remove or install the cartridge. M-CORE mixing and transfer valves also are available in several inlet and outlet plumbing options to meet the needs of installers.
How it Works:
Once installed, the M-CORE valve with new 4-Series trim is available in all styles, finishes, and platforms for second upgrade and premium suites. This series of trim provides thermostatic functionality, as well as volume control. Thermostatic showering allows pre-setting the perfect water temperature and will ensure the temperature is maintained through the duration of the shower. The 4-Series also offers additional flexibility when choosing the trim as these can be selected after the valve has been plumbed.
The new 4-Series trim joins the existing 2-Series and 3-Series trim. The 2-Series trim is available in a wide range of style and finish options. These valves provide temperature control functionality along with upgraded designs in spec, first upgrade, second upgrade and premium collections. 3-Series trim’s temperature control functionality also includes pressure-balancing capabilities designed to control temperature fluctuations in the event of water pressure changes in the home and features volume control, allowing users to adjust the flow of water to meet their bathing needs. 3-Series trim is available in all styles, finishes, and platforms for second upgrade and premium suites.
With M-CORE transfer valves, consumers can choose from a wide range of options to flow multiple showering devices in single or shared modes. The updated transfer valves allow for greater functionality and offer a trim style that matches perfectly, seamlessly completing the look of the shower system.
