Water conservation is a global effort. That's why we seek out partnerships that are aligned with our commitment to conserve our Earth's water supply and promote water efficiency.

To make a difference on a global scale Moen has established partnerships with a number of environmental organizations and building councils.

WaterSense

WaterSense®

WaterSense, a partnership program sponsored by the Environmental Protection Agency, helps protect future water supply by promoting water efficiency. A special label helps consumers identify water-efficient products and programs that meet water efficiency and performance criteria.

Moen is proud to win the WaterSense Manufacturer Partner of the Year award for 2010. Our achievements in 2009 are only the beginning of our efforts to promote and support water efficiency in this country, and globally. This recognition from the EPA for our commitment to water efficiency is one of many benefits of our partnership with WaterSense.

What Did Moen Do To Win?
  • Moen associates lobbied the government about importance of adopting a program that will encourage a significant reduction in water use among consumers
  • Moen reused 70 percent of the water used for product testing, along with adapting other corporate sustainable initiatives
  • Moen earned the WaterSense label for 100% of its new bathroom faucets in 2009, nine times more than were available in 2008
  • Moen used WaterSense partner materials to promote water efficiency in public relation efforts and advertising
  • Moen created a strong consumer presence and promotion of WaterSense on packaging, in catalogues, and online
  • Moen highlighted WaterSense labeled products at trade shows

CaGBC/LEED

CaGBC/LEED®

The CaGBC developed the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System as a nationally accepted benchmark for measuring and documenting green building practices in Canada. Moen's products can be used to help achieve LEED certification.
